REALISATIONS

 

      As programmer analyst :

 

§       Lead programmer for Occult Entertainment on the ‘DM Secretary’ project, a D&D campaign manager. Added outstanding ‘map control.’

§       As part of a two member programming team, effectively brought an add-on to Visio from simple drawing editor to full Business Process Management program over a period of 6 years. See Interfacing Technologies FirstStep Charter.

§       Planned and coded version compatibility for a suite of add-on to Visio from version 5 to version XP (5 versions) and across Windows 98 to XP (five versions) in English, French and German. This included binary compatibilities.

§       Built installations for the full suite of products and all patches and upgrades, compatible across five versions of Windows (from 98 to XP) and over three languages (English, German and French.)

§       Maintained full source code control and binary compatibility for that suite of programs for five years.

§       Made the program multi-lingual for international clients (German).

§       Planned and wrote part of, and maintained a data export engine in Java 2.

§       Conceived, planned, programmed and tested a FirstStep Charter model validation and repair program.

 

      As estimator for Hydro-Québec:

 

§       Created a real-estate management database that permitted a personnel reduction from three to one person within one year.

§       Created a construction cost analysis and estimate management application, in both CSI Masterformat and Uniformat II: a first in Canada

§       Created a project evaluation program to calculate total cost of building from basic client needs specifications.

 

As project coordinator for Hydro-Quebec:

 

§       Saved about a quarter of a million dollars and made the project acceptable to environment oversight government agencies by using excavation material to build a linear park along the shore of Rivière-des-Prairies for Rivière-des-Prairies power station.

§       Made possible the embedding of a power transformation (720Kv/35Kv) station in urban residential milieu by proposing an architectural wall that broke the visual and noise impact of the installation.

 

As landscape architect for Hydro-Quebec:

 

§       Made possible the embedding of a heavy jet-powered power station in rural milieu by planning berms and plantations that broke the visual and noise impact of the installation. Saved around one hundred thousands dollars in material removal by re-use.

§       Responsible for the Manicouagan 5 re-seeding plan, which requires a lead-time of two years for plant material production.

§       Responsible for the writing of Hydro-Quebec standard specifications on all site works as part of the ‘Devis Directeur Canada.’

§       Responsible for the setting up of basic computerized plan records (IGS 500 on Calcomp) for a whole Direction. This involved all standards and drawing structures.
